Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a specific data pattern through an easier process than that of a frequency detector. SOLUTION: The continuity test device, equipped with a test data pattern generation part 81 which generates and sends out continuity test data in specific pattern to a channel as an object of a continuity test and a test data pattern part 82 which compares receive data obtained from the mentioned channel by folding the channel back with previously held estimated data patterns, is provided with a sine wave generating means 8 which generates data corresponding to a sine wave of single frequency as continuity test data at the test data pattern part 81 and with an amplitude thresholding means 85 which threshold process the amplitude of the data pattern of the receive data obtained from the mentioned channel at the test data pattern comparison part 82.
