Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility of an interface for a digital signal processor(DSP) adaptor by providing the DSP adaptor with a means for adaptively supporting at least one data format out of a set of data formats including voice data, facsimile data and calculation data and other means. SOLUTION: A computer system 1 includes a system unit processor 2, which has a peripheral component interconnection(PCI) bus 3. Data are transferred between a host network 5 such as a data base service network and the computer system 1 through a local area network(LAN) 6 or another connection. The processor 2 adaptively bundles transfer data through a data transfer interface and adaptively supports at least one data format out of a set of data formats including voice data, facsimile data and calculation data.
