PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a material to be conveyed without applying a consolidation load on the material to be conveyed by suspending two rake plates raking the upper part of the material to be conveyed in such a state as holding a prescribed angle in a device for conveying the material to be conveyed such as waste in a hopper to the upper part by an inclined conveyer. SOLUTION: A conveyer 1 conveys a martial to be conveyed such as waste put in a hopper 2 upward at a prescribed angle and feeds it to a selecting device 3. In this case, a rake device 10 raking out the upper part of the material to be conveyed is arranged in such a height position as securing a prescribed spaced from a mount face 5 in a rising corner part 4 of the conveyer 1. The rake device 10 comprises two rake plates 11, 12 having different lengths and a shaft member 13 fixing and suspending them at a prescribed angle. This constitution can rake the upper part of the material to be conveyed by a conveyer by the rake device 10 so as to adjust the feed quantity of the material to be conveyed. Namely, the both rake plates 11, 12 are rotated along with the movement of the material to be conveyed and rake out the excessive material to be conveyed.
