PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FRP cylinder and a method for manufacturing it at a relatively low manufacturing cost by easily molding even a lengthy material or a large-diameter material. SOLUTION: The FRP cylinder comprises a cylindrical core 2, and an FRP layer disposed on an outer periphery of the core 2. The FRP layer is integrated with the core 2 by resin, and a resin diffusing medium 4 is disposed on an outer periphery of the core, and a reinforcing fiber base material 5 is disposed on its outer periphery. After the entirety is covered with a bag base material 6, an interior covered with the material 6 is evacuated in vacuum, resin is poured to diffuse the surface direction of the medium 4, and impregnated with the material 5.
