Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce a trace soluble organic material in water to be treated by adding a flocculant into the water to be treated to flocculate suspended materials and a part of the soluble organic material in the water to remove, treating with ozone in an ozone reaction vessel and after that, irradiating with ultraviolet ray in an ultraviolet ray reaction vessel. SOLUTION: In the case of treating river water as the water to be treated, the river water is sent to a flocculating and settling equipment 2 through a pre-chlorine treating equipment 1 at first and is flocculation treated by adding, for example, a ferric chloride aq. solution as an iron based flocculant and mixing. Next, the river water is sent to a sand filter equipment 4 through a middle chlorine treating equipment 3 to remove the suspended material and a part of the soluble organic material in the water. Next, the water to be treated is sent successively to the ozone reaction vessel 5 and a photocatalyst-ultraviolet reaction vessel 6 to perform the ozone treatment and at the same time, to oxidation decompose a soluble organic material remaining in the river water with the photocatalyst and the irradiation with ultraviolet ray and after that, passed through an activated carbon adsorption column 7 and an after-chlorine treating equipment 8 to be taken out as purified water. |
