Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely back up a hysteresis motor. SOLUTION: A driver is provided with a plurality of inverters 1-1 to 1-n, hysteresis motors 4-1 to 4-2, 5-1 to 5-2 connected in parallel with the inverters and driven, switching means 2-1 to 2-n which switch on and off the connecting circuits for connecting the hysteresis motors and inverters, a backup inverter 1-BU which performs back up when an inverter fails, backing up switching means 3-1 to 3-n for connecting the hysteresis motors to the backup inverter, an inverter failure detecting means 6 for detecting failures of the inverters, a backup sequence means 7 which backs up an inverter, when it is detected by the detecting means 6 that the inverter has failed, a backup switching time setting means 8, which sets backup switching time for switching a hysteresis motor which is connected to the inverter over to the back-up inverter by the sequence means 7.
