Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bath preparation composition capable of providing comfortableness to a human body owing to moderate resistance to the body from bath water during taking a bath, and of giving good massage feeling to only a contact part of the body during massaging. SOLUTION: This bath preparation composition has a polymer having such characteristics that the ratio of the shearing stress b to shearing stress (a): (b/a) for a 10 wt.% aqueous solution of the polymer at 25 deg.C satisfying the condition (A) or (B) is <=0.45. [Condition (A): electrolyte content is 0-20 wt.% (for the electrolyte except the polymer when the polymer itself is an electrolyte), condition (B): pH is 4.5-8.0, shearing stress (a): the maximum shearing stress at a shearing rate of <=500/s, shearing stress (b): the shearing stress at a half of the shearing rate giving the shearing stress (a)].
