Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the development of casting defect by hardly incorporating foreign matter into a cast product. SOLUTION: This crucible 10 used for a casting method for guiding molten metal into a mold by a stoke 24 is provided with a partition plate 14 by which the inner part of a crucible main body 12 is divided into a molten metal supplying vessel X to which the molten metal is fed and a digging-out vessel Y into which the stoke 24 is dipped, an opening hole 14k formed at the lower part of the partition plate 14 for communicating the molten metal supplying vessel X with the digging-out vessel Y, and a filter 16 fitted to the opening hole part 14k. In this way, in the digging-out vessel Y, the molten metal is not disturbed, and even in the case of incorporating the foreign matter into the molten metal, a large part of the foreign matter floats up or deposits, and the foreign matter is hardly incorporated into the molten metal at the intermediate level. Thus the foreign matter is hardly incorporated into the cast product by guiding the molten metal at the intermediate level into the mold by the stoke 24, then the occurrence of casting defect can be prevented. |
