Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply capable of size reduction with simple constitution. SOLUTION: This uninterruptible power supply 10 is composed of a FET bridge circuit 12, a coil 14, a MOSFET 16, a flywheel diode 18, a step-up- and-down transformer 20, a MOSFET 22, a smoothing circuit 24, a battery 26, and a rectifier diode 28. Input voltage rectified by the FET bridge circuit 12 at the time of charging is once boosted by the coil 14 and inputted into the step-up-and-down transformer 20 by the switching operation of the MOSFET 16. On the other hand, at the time of discharging, a parasitic diode component included in the MOSFET 16 acts as a flywheel diode. It is thus possible to provide the uninterruptible power supply 10 only by using one step-up-and-down transformer 20 without need for mounting step-up and step-down transformers separately. |
