Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new protein having a TATA bonding function and a transcription activating function, being whose gene used as a diagnosis probe or a primer, etc., comprising a transcription controlling factor protein having a specific amino acid sequence. SOLUTION: This new transcription controlling factor protein is an amino acid sequence expressed by the formula and has a TATA bonding function and a transcription activating function, then its gene is useful for a diagnosis of a genetic disease such as a diagnosis probe for one kind of genetic disease caused from an abnormal transcription of a gene or as a primer of PCR. The transcription controlling factor protein is obtained by detecting a base sequence encoding a TATA bonding protein from a data base by using a human lever cDNA library and a human retinal cDNA library as templates, performing PCR by using the resultant designed and synthesized primer and integrating the resultant gene into a vector, then transducing into a host cell to express the gene. |
