Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system enabling direct recognition of the blinking state of lamps from positions other than the front of a light body, and enabling recognition of the blinking state from separated positions. SOLUTION: A lighting system is structured, such that a light body 1 contains lamps 2 and reflective plates 3, and the reflecting plates 3 irradiate the light from the lamps 2 forward. Light guide tubes 14 subjected to treatment on the internal surfaces are provided behind the lamps 2 to reflect the light from the lamps 2. The guide tubes 14 are placed with one end close to the lamps 2, and the other end directed to the rear side. Openings 1a are provided on the peripheral wall of the light body 1 corresponding to the rear ends of the light guide tubes 14. The light guide tubes 14 make the light pass from the lamps 2 through to the rear end side, thereby enabling observation of the blinking state of the lamps 2 through the openings 1a on the rear of the light body 1.
