Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove the whole coating of taped optical coated fibers without deteriorating a transmission characteristic of optical fibers by combining together a tape material tearing part, a tape material discharging part, and tape material guiding parts, provide it as a whole coat removing tool. SOLUTION: This whole coat removing tool is constituted of a tape material tearing part such as upper and lower separating strings 12, 12' constituted so as to pinchedly hold the coated fiber of an optical tape, a tape material discharging part 9 arranged outside the tape material tearing part, and upper and lower taped coated fiber guiding parts 10, 10' guiding the not torn taped optical coated fiber in the vicinity of the rear part of the tape material tearing part. In such constitution, by moving the tape material tearing part so that the upper and lower tape material tearing parts bite in between the tape of the optical tape coated fiber previously peeled a part of the upper and lower tape and the single coated fiber, the tape is torn. Hereby, the whole coat of the taped optical coated fiber can be removed easily for a length.
