Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold head fixed on a coil stage for a refrigerating machine with limited fear of breakage of an object to be cooled. SOLUTION: A cold stage 19 herein used is a product made of nickel steel or an iron/nickel/cobalt alloy. This cold stage 19 has a cylinder part with the outer diameter thereof substantially the same as the inner diameter of a cylinder 11 and the cylinder part is securely inserted into the cylinder 11. The fixing method herein utilized is EBW, TIG welding or the like as the cylinder 11 is made of stainless steel.
