Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect ultraviolet rays source and increase ultraviolet rays transmissivity while ensuring some degree of indensity by constituting a cover body by a radiation section transmitting ultraviolet rays and a reinforcing section to reinforce the radiation section. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet rays transmitting protective cover has a cover body 3 covering an ultraviolet lamp to radiate ultraviolet rays. The cover body 3 is made of ultraviolet rays transmitting resin to transmit ultraviolet rays. The cover body 3 consist of a thin-walled radiation section 3a transmitting ultraviolet rays and a reinforcing section 3b which is integrally formed with the radiation section 3a for reinforcing the radiation section 3a or separately formed to couple to the radiation section 3a by fixing means.
