Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet head in which ink can be ejected stably at high speed by eliminating standing of bubble through a simple structure and high density is realized advantageously by simplifying formation of electrode or connection of signal. SOLUTION: A plurality of ink chambers A and air chambers B are formed alternately while sectioning through a barrier wall in the head body of a polarized piezoelectric element and a voltage is applied to the electrode of the head body to cause shearing deformation of the barrier wall sectioning the ink chambers A thus ejecting ink from a nozzle hole 5a. In such an ink jet head 1, the head body has the nozzle hole 5a for ejecting ink on the outlet side of the ink chambers A and an ink inlet 6a at a position facing the nozzle hole 5a on the inlet side of the ink chambers A. A straight ink channel supplies ink from the ink inlet 6a to the nozzle hole 5a and electrodes provided on the opposite barrier walls sectioning the ink chambers A are connected through connection electrodes and then connected with signal lines. Electrodes provided on the opposite barrier walls sectioning the air chambers B are connected through connection electrodes and then grounded.
