PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent battery exhaustion and dispense with an external cable by making the tip section of a pipe jacking body rotatable and thrustable, and providing a power generator for pipe jacking action auxiliary apparatuses fitted with an eccentric heavy bob body to a shaft in the rotation section of the pipe jacking body. SOLUTION: The tip section 3 of a pipe jacking body 1 is rotated for excavating the ground. A slope 4 relative to the axis is formed on the tip section 3, and the tip section 3 is rotatively driven and thrust to linearly advance the pipe jacking body 1. Propulsion action auxiliary apparatuses 5 are mounted on the tip section 3 for the pipe jacking body 1 to reach an arrival point accurately, and the propulsion action auxiliary apparatuses 5 such as a position detecting transmitter 6 and a power unit 7 are mounted to recognize the position of the tip section 3 and to avoid an obstacle. A power generator 8 is fitted with an eccentric heavy bob body 10 to the rotary shaft 9 of an armature, and the power generator 8 generates electric power to charge a battery 11 when the pipe jacking body 1 is rotated. Since the power unit 7 is provided in the pipe jacking body 1, no cable is required to be installed, and the excavation work is simplified.
