Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict machining accuracy by adding offset to the path for wire electric discharge machining once machined, and providing a computing means estimating the relative position of a workpiece to a wire electrode from the machining speed at finishing when the workpiece is machined while electrically discharging in normal direction or reverse direction. SOLUTION: Between a workpiece 101 soaked in the machining fluid of a machining tank 102 and a wire electrode 104, direct current power supply 108 is connected through an oscillator 107 to form an electric discharge circuit. A voltage detecting device 109 is connected to the electric discharge circuit in parallel with the direct current power supply 108, and the detected voltage is digitalized by an A/D conversion device 110. Further an upper or lower wire guide 105, 106 is fitted with a detecting device 111 detecting the present position and the speed of the wire electrode 104. A timer device 112 is respectively fitted to the A/D conversion device 110 and the present position/speed detecting device 111, and in addition to preserve sampling information in a memory 115, the relative position is computed by a CPU 113 based on the preserved data. |
