Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new forward-side primer which consists of an oligonucleotide having a specific base sequence and a specific number of bases, and is useful for the simple and sensitive determination of the gene derived from Crystosporidium parvum by the real time detection PCR method. SOLUTION: A primer, which is an oligonucleotide having a base sequence consisting of serial 15-42 bases among the base sequence shown by the formula (T may be U), is a new forward-side primer used for the determination of the gene derived from Crystospordium parvum by the real time detection PCR method, and is useful for the simple and sensitive determination of C. parvum causing human serious watery stool, gastrospasm, abdominal pain, and so on by infecting human, is obtained by designing the sequence from the base sequence of 18S rRNA gene derived from C. parvum followed by chemical synthesizing the sequence.
