Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a precursory fat cell keeping high differentiation-inducibility and capable of precisely analyzing cell biological or molecular biological mechanism about obesity or its disease state by isolating from a mammal administrated with a fat cell differentiation accelerator. SOLUTION: This precursory fat cell is isolated from a mammal such as a mouse, a rat administered with at least one kind of fat cell differentiation accelerator selected from thiazolidine derivative, phosphodiesterase inhibitor, indomethacin and retinoic acid. Preferably, in the case of peroral administration, the fat cell differentiation accelerator is administrated in a daily dosage of 50-500 mg/kg per rat body weight.
