Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach an earthquake resistant reinforcing wall to a beam of an existing building. SOLUTION: In a method for fitting a reinforcing steel plate 5 between a pair of beams 3, 4 in an existing steel frame-structural building, an upper connection member 6 and a lower connection member 7 are respectively attached to the upper end edge 5A and the lower end edge 5B of the reinforcing steel plate 5. The upper connection member 6 and the lower connection member 7 are fixed to the beams 3, 4 by the electromagnetic attractive force of the upper and lower electromagnets 8, 9 respectively to fix the reinforcing steel plate 5 between the beams 3, 4.
