Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply internal pressure almost uniformly to the inner surface of a fixed part and partition wall part when pressure rises due to combustion of inflammable gas and cleave the center part of the partition wall part without scattering it when cleaved by forming the inside of a pressure vessel with a continuously changed part of wall thickness between the fixed part and the partition wall part. SOLUTION: In this gas generator 1, a pressure vessel 3 closed with a pressure partition wall 2 for charging with pressurized inflammable gas and is provided with an ignition means 4. The pressure partition wall 2 is provided with a thick-walled fixed part 6 at the outer periphery so as to be a fitting part to the pressure vessel 3, and a thin-walled partition wall part 7 at the center; and wall thickness between the fixed part 6 and the partition wall part 7 is continuously changed. The fitting strength of the pressure partition wall 2 to the pressure vessel 3 is therefore enhanced, and the periphery of the partition wall part 7 is reinforced. The partition wall part 7 is therefore cleaved positively without scattering the pressure partition wall 2 so as to realize blowoff stability of gas.
