Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an AC generator which does not produce any noise and causes few failures with a simple structure by constructing the AC generating sections of the generator in fixed structures having not rotating part. SOLUTION: Each of generating sections 8A-8C of an AC generator is constituted of induced current generating sections 10A-10I which are arranged in such a state that the sections 10A-10I are faced to magnetic field generating sections 9A-9I fixed in parallel with each other with gaps on and under the sections 9A-9I and fixed in parallel with each other. An interrupter 17 which supplies a direct current to each field coil 13 of the sections 9A-9I is provided with first to third conducting rings 22-24 respectively provided with notches 27 at positions which are deviated by 120 deg. from each other on the surface of a rotary drum 18 and a fourth conducting ring 25 which has a perfect ring shape and is electrically connected to the rings 22-24. By using the DC power E supplied to the ring 25, AC electromotive forces are successively generated in the field coils 16 of the induced current generating sections 10A-10I of the generating sections 8A-8C at the moment a conductive contacting ring 28 is made to pass through the notch of each ring 22-24 by the rotation of the drum 18. Therefore, the structure of the AC generator becomes simple and no noise is produced and, in addition, the occurrence of failures can also be reduced.
