Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video rental system in which video software is not required to return. SOLUTION: This system is installed in a rental stop, and provided with a write-in device 10 for rental software writing video software to be returned out and its rental term in a disk type storage medium 30, and a reproducing device 20 reading its rental term from the disk type storage medium 30 and enabling reproducing video software only in the rental term. Then, the write-in device 10 is operated by a customer being a borrower. A rental term is ciphered and written in a control track of the disk type storage medium. The reproducing device compares a rental term and the present time obtained by a reading means 21 reading a rental term written in a rental disk and a time obtaining means 25 obtaining the present time, video software written in the rental disk can be reproduced only when the present time does not elapses over the rental time. |
