Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin not having conventional defects such as the preparation of a slow curing additional component, a high cost, or the like, by reacting a highly functional polyol with a compound having isocyanate, urea and an alkoxysilane. SOLUTION: This silane-modified polyurethane resin is obtained by introducing an alkoxysilane as a reaction product produced by reacting (A) a polyol having >=4 functional value and >=200 equivalent with (B) a compound having urea, NCO and an alkoxysilane, and expressed by the formula [X is an organic group inert, at <100 deg.C against isocyanate group (NCO), provided that at least one of them is an alkoxy; Y is a 1-8C alkylene; R is a monomeric isocyanate containing n+1 NCO or a residue obtained by removing NCO from a polyisocyanate adduct; R1 is an organic group inert at <=100 deg.C against NCO; (n) is 1-3] in an equivalent ratio (NCO/OH) of (0.5:1)-(1:1), and has 0.2-4.5 wt.% alkoxysilane content and, as necessary, hydroxyl group.
