Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation control device incorporated in an automobile or the like, which can restrain variation in speed of an engine caused when an electrical load is turned on during idling operation. SOLUTION: By increasing and decreasing a parameter correlating to an electrical power generation of an alternator 6 in accordance with a deviation of a battery voltage from a predetermined voltage with the use of an alternator control means 13, the power generation of the alternator 6 coupled to an output shaft of an internal combustion engine 1, is controlled, and the volume of intake- air flowing into a combustion chamber in the internal combustion engine 1 is increased and decreased in accordance with an increase and a decrease of the parameter so as to prevent the speed of the engine from being lowered caused by the power generation of the alternator 6. During idling operation, if the parameter is increased after it is changed from a high value to a low value, a control means 14 restrains the parameter from being increased, for a predetermined time.
