PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-driving type multistory parking space wherein a predetermined floor can be reached through a short route and moreover a building site can be effectively utilized. SOLUTION: Each of the floors F1, F2, F3, F4 of the multistory parking space 1 has approximately a rectangular shape. An ascending shortcut driveway 3 and a descending shortcut driveway 5 are provided on a short side of the rectangular shape. A parking section 7 is formed, in place of the driveway 3 and the driveway 5, on the fourth floor F4 and a floor at a level higher than that of the floor F4 as well (not shown). When a car ascends the space 1, if the car is driven through the ascending shortcut driveway 3, the car can reach the third floor F3 through a route shorter than a route to the third floor through an ascending driveway. On the other hand, more cars can be parked on the fourth floor F4 and a floor at a level of higher than the fourth floor.
