Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having voltage of 1.5 V class, and an improved over-discharging characteristic and cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode mix 2 containing Li4/3Ti5/3O as the active material, a negative electrode mix 5 containing the carbon material previously doped with lithium, and the nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode mix 2 contains a graphite carbon material as the conductive material and the fluorine resin as a binder. When the area of the positive electrode mix facing that of the negative electrode mix is expressed as S (mm2) and the thickness thereof is expressed as (t) (mm), S and (t) satisfy the relation [2(S/500)/1.3]<t<[2(S/500)×1.2].
