Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain vibration (shaft deflection) generated by rotating a combined rotary body which is unbalanced caused by weight, and quickly realize suppression of the vibration, i.e., automatic aligning action. SOLUTION: This rotation drive mechanism 10 is equipped with an automatic aligning mechanism 12, which is rotated via a spindle shaft (bearing shaft) by a spindle motor (rotation drive means). A case body 21 having a moving space 25, wherein the sectional form rectangular to the axial direction is annular, and a plurality of balancing members 26, 26, etc., which are movably arranged in the moving space of the case body are installed. In accordance with the rotation of the rotation driving means,, the balancing members 26 are moved relative to other parts of the combined rotary body, and the combined center of gravity of the combined rotary body is positioned on the rotating axis. A plurality of the balancing members 26a, 26a,..., 26b, 26b are formed in two or more kinds of different sizes.
