Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to correctly detect a tape end with simple constitution. SOLUTION: A reel stand for supplying and taking up a tape is provided with reflecting bodies at predetermined intervals in the direction of rotation, and the light emitted from a light-emitting diode of a photo-sensor 61 can be made incident on a photo-transistor 61T by reflecting the light by the reflecting bodies. The photo-transistor 61T generates a sensor signal SS based on the incident light. The sensor signal SS is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 51a in a control part 51 and a discrimination standard level is set from the maximum and minimum values to be stored in an EEPROM 53. When the result of the comparison between the discrimination standard level and the digital signal level becomes unchanged for a predetermined period, the rotation of the reel stand is judged as stopped and this is judged as the tape end. |
