Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a device and a method for measuring a particle-size distribution. SOLUTION: This particle-size distribution analytical device is composed of a sample measurement zone 16 for storing a particle sample, light-emitting means 2, 42 for providing light sources for emitting light into the measurement zone 16, and detecting means 22, 40 capable of measuring the particle size of particles included in the sample, for measuring light levels of various different scattering angles, and for outputting a signal to a computing means. The light- emitting means 2, 42 are composed of a first light source 2 for emitting substantially single-colored light having a first wavelength, and a second light source 42 for emitting substantially single-colored light having a second wavelength different from the first wavelength.
