Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rewinder sizing controller eliminating a tension fluctuating factor and reducing an acceleration time for improvement operation efficiency. SOLUTION: According to a load factor B from a drum load detector 24, an acceleration upper limit value computing circuit 25a decides a maximum acceleration α am, and using this maximum acceleration α am, a speed reference computing circuit 18 computes a speed reference. An achievable speed computing circuit 26 performs approximation to a winding speed set value by using the maximum acceleration α am and computes an achievable speed Vs for fixing the speed reference without correcting the acceleration so as to give it to the speed reference computing circuit 18. A sizing movement eliminating speed computing circuit 27 computes a movement eliminating speed vo for sizing control when a deceleration start is detected so as to give it to the speed reference computing circuit 18. In this way, a tension fluctuating factor can be eliminated.
