Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing for hollow fiber membrane module improved in the fixing strength of a hollow fiber membrane and the pressure resistance thereof, and a hollow fiber membrane module using the same. SOLUTION: The housing 11 for hollow fiber membrane module is formed by providing a hollow part 15 along the longitudinal direction inside of a housing body 12 with U-shaped cross section, a recessed part 13 along the longitudinal direction on the outer surface of the housing body 12 and a slit 14 opening to the hollow part 15 on the bottom surface 13b of the recessed part 13 and the hollow fiber membrane module is constituted by using the same.
