Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and a method for feeding the developer, made possible to stably perform an excellent image formation, even under condition that flowability of the developer is lowering, and to prevent the pitch unevenness at the time of cutting by rubbing. SOLUTION: This developing device is allowed, to make a cutting by rubbing member 10 for cutting by rubbing the developer being scooped up in a bucket 25, possible to divide the bucket roller 24 and an agitating screw 26, and to be provided with the length always covering the one or more buckets 25. Moreover, the device is allowed to make fresh toner possible to be replenished in a line shape by evading a center part between the bucket roller 24 and the agitating screw 26 on which the developer is received and delivered, and so as to be led to the agitating screw 26 by the cutting by rubbing member 10.
