Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic linear actuator which is constituted so that it can support an armature slidably without incurring size enlargement. SOLUTION: In an electromagnetic linear actuator 1 where a stator 5 and an armature 9 are combined capably of relative axial sliding, a slide bush 25a impregnated with oil for supporting the armature 9 is provided on the side of a stator, and also the armature 9 is provided with a sliding face against the slide bush 25a impregnated with oil where a hard film 26 is made. As a result, the armature 9 can be slid directly on the slid bush 25a, compared with the one where the rod is provided with a support, the dimension in axral direction can be shortened.
