Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liq. crystal display(LCD) driving method capable displaying plural colors by one pixel, higher in precise and high in aperture ratio. SOLUTION: R, G, B color filter (18) are formed on each of counter electrode 17 opposed to a pixel electrode 13. In this LCD, for instance in case displaying R, with displaying black by inputting an offset voltage to counter electrodes 17 of G and B, a desired color is displayed by inputting a voltage of the normal level between a counter electrode 17R of R and the electrode 13. Similarly G, B is displayed in switching respectively. By displaying respective colors with switching in high speed, displayed color is recognized as mixed color for a naked eye by the effect of an afterimage or the like.
