PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid purifying device capable of efficiently recovering lubricating oil, etc., without enlarging an installation space. SOLUTION: A liquid purifying device for purifying an aqueous solution of cutting oil, etc., returned from a machine tool, etc., to a liquid bath, is made up of a recovery member 5 provided with a rod 4A which can advance or retreat in the solution in the liquid bath and which is provided with a piston part 4D at its lower end, a cylinder 4 for advancing or retracting the rod 4A, and a recovery cylinder 5D which is provided at the lower part of the cylinder 4 and through which the rod 4A can be passed, a scraper which is arranged above the recovery cylinder 5D during advancing or retreating the rod 4A to scrape mixtures adhered to the rod 4A, and an advance-retreat switching means for the rod 4A. The cylinder 4 allows the rod 4A to advance or retreat in the liquid through the advance-retreat switching means to draw the mixtures adhered to it by means of the piston 4D, and the mixtures are scraped by the scraper 6 positioned above the recovery cylinder 5D to be discharged from the recovery member 5 to the outside.
