Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a stroke of a piston by opposing an outer periphery of the piston to an inner periphery of a cylinder via an infinitesimal gap, supporting thrust bearings axially movably in the direction of the cylinder axis, and reciprocating the piston axially in the cylinder. SOLUTION: A piston rod 8 is coupled to an end of a piston 4 at an opposite side to a compression chamber 5, and extended along an extension line of a central axis of the cylinder 3. The rod 8 is supported via thrust bearings 10, 11 axially movably so as to inhibit movement in the direction perpendicular to the axis. The piston 4 is held to form an infinitesimal gap between an inner periphery of the cylinder 3 and an outer periphery of the piston 4 to reciprocate the piston 4 in the axial direction in the cylinder 3. |
