Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel which can easily form the installation part of an air bag device on the core metal without interfering to the boss of the core metal center and also ensure a prescribed strength to this installation part. SOLUTION: A yoke type boss 33 is arranged connectingly with the center of the core metal 15 having the core metal 15a of a ring part and the core metal 15b of a spoke part. An air bag device 20 is arranged on the core metal 15. A steering wheel main body 11 is fixed tighteningly to a steering shaft by a bolt through the boss 33. The core metal 15b of the spoke part is formed in nearly reverse U-letter shape section consisting of a pair of ribs 43, 44. The installation part 27 for installing an air bag device 20 is formed integrally on the core metal 15b of the spoke part so as to connect to at least oneside of ribs 43, 44. |
