Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly join together steel beams to shorten a construction period and improve structural stability by forming long inserting projecting parts and inserting grooves of a C shape-section to which the inserting projecting parts are fitted along the end faces of the flange parts on the joint ends of steel beams to be joined together, and inserting the inserting projecting parts into the inserting grooves to join together them. SOLUTION: Long inserting projecting parts 3a, 3b are respectively formed into square bars along the end faces of the flange parts 1a, 1b, on the upper and lower flange parts 1a, 1b on the joint end of one steel beam 1 to be joined. On the flange parts 2a, 2b on the joint end of the other steel beam 2 to be joined, inserting grooves 4a, 4b of a C shape-section (square groove shape) and of a shape and size to which the inserting projecting parts 3a, 3b are tightly fitted are respectively formed. The inserting projecting parts 3a, 3b are respectively inserted into the inserting grooves 4a, 4b, and the steel beams 1, 2 are joined with each other.
