Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved protection to the fabrication of a response signal by evaluating the response signal, comparing code information included in the response signal with expected target code information, and controlling a safety device dependent on the comparison results. SOLUTION: Question signals are transmitted via antennas 3 in operating trigger switches 4, 12. When the question signals are received by a portable transponder 5, it replies response signals. The response signals are received by one of the antennas 3 or other antennas in an automobile. A transmitting/ receiving unit 2 is connected to a safety device, for example a door lock 6 or a controller related to the operation, for example an engine controller 7 in the automobile 1 via a control data line. When the transponder 5 judges right based on the response signals (success in recognition), the door lock 6 is locked or unlocked according to the control information included in the response signals.
