PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle resources by treating shredder dust which has been discarded so far and separating/recovering useful substances. SOLUTION: Shredder dust is treated by (1) a process for primary crushing, (2) a process for separating/recovering metals from the product of the primary crushing, (3) a process for secondary crushing, (5) a process for separating/ recovering metals from the product of the secondary crushing, (6) a process for ternary crushing, (7) a process for separating/recovering non-ferrous metals, non-metallic substances, and others from the product of the ternary crushing, (8) a process for collecting/recovering dust and others. Preferably, the shredder dust is crushed by using a quadrangular cutting blade.
