Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for removing garbage which is light in weight and has a high resistance to corrosion, which causes little noise and vibration and, moreover, brings about little loss of flowing water and which can collect excellently the garbage raked up. SOLUTION: Equipment A for removing garbage which has a support structure 10 built up in the vicinity of a water channel W and a bucket screen 14 supported by this support structure through the intermediary of a drive chain 12 so that it can run in the water channel W and which rakes up floating garbage G flowing down through the water channel. The bucket screen has a constitution wherein raking-up parts 30 each having a raking-up face projecting from a running surface S of the drive chain and back plate parts 32 each having a screen face along the running surface are fitted alternately to the driving chain.
