Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a lipophilic metallic image to a formed and also a lithographic printing plate to be operated for a long time by applying an lipophilic metallic ion solution to the surface of a hydrophilic metallic layer using an ink jet as per an image and reducing this ion by electroplating. SOLUTION: An lipophilic metallic ion solution is applied to the surface of a hydrophilic metallic layer using an ink jet as per an image, and this ion is reduced by electroplating to obtain a lipophilic metallic image. The lipophilic metallic ion solution is preferably copper pyrrolinate or copper nitrate. The hydrophilic metallic layer is preferably an aluminum support which has a surface roughed electrochemically and is anodized. The lipophilic metallic ion solution is supplied to an ink jet head and microdots of the solution are jetted to the surface of a hydrophilic metallic base in accordance with a pattern which is preset and issued by a computer. After that, the lipophilic metallic ion is reduced by electroplating. |
