Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat a fluid containing useful matter or harmful matter even under environment where no light reaches a photocatalyst. SOLUTION: Since light leaks from the outer periphery of a fiber main body 8 by bending the fiber main body 8 in a predetermined curvature, a photocatalyst bed 7 is sufficiently irradiated with light even ender environment where no light reaches to enhance the reaction efficiency in the decompositional removal of harmful matter or the synthesis of useful matter. Further, the photocatalyst bed 7 is irradiated with sufficient light even if a fluid to be treated containing harmful or useful matter is opaque and reaction is sufficiently accelerated.
