Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue the drive of a vibration-wave motor even when its load is varied momently in the control wherein comparing its sensed drive state with its preset desired value, its drive frequency signal is applied to it to make the signal coincide with its preset desired value, by driving it during its load being varied through its drive frequency signal used before its load is varied. SOLUTION: Comparing with a desired value by a speed difference sensor 403 the speed signal of an apparatus for driving and controlling a vibration-wave motor USM, a speed difference signal between them is sensed to decrease its drive frequency from its present one based on the speed difference signal by a drive frequency sensing portion 405 when increasing its speed. When decreasing its speed, by the portion 405, its drive frequency is so determined as to increase the same to input the resultant as the sensed drive frequency to a control method change-over portion 407. Then, changing over the sensed drive frequency and a frequency preset by a CPU 412 into each other in the portion 407, its drive frequency is generated in a drive frequency generating portion 406 to generate in a drive pulse generating portion 410 the pulse given actually to the vibration-wave motor USM. Thereafter, the power of the pulse is amplified in an AC voltage generating portion 411 to drive the vibration-wave motor USM. |
