Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure for an existing building which can absorb earthquake energy by a vibration control device, and enhance the earthquake-resistance for the existing building with the building extension of fewer reinforcing elements, and simplify the connection of the reinforcing structural plane to existing columns and beams to improve workability, and reduce the rigidity of columns by integrally forming the existing columns and beams and a steel framework, and prevent the shear fracture of the existing columns. SOLUTION: A steel framework brace structure having a vibration control device such as an elastoplastic damper 6 or the like is assembled in an opening 3 surrounded by existing columns 1 and beams 2, and an anchorage metal fitting 7 is protruded at the face of the opening side of the column 1 and the beam 2, and a stud 8 is protruded at the face of the column-beam side of the steel framework 4, and a filling material 9 is charged between the column 1 and the beam 2 and the steel framework 4 without providing reinforcing rods, and a vibration control reinforcing structural plane is constructed by the vibration control device, and further, connection of the reinforcing structural plane to the existing column 1 and the beam 2 is simplified.
