Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit proper alarm action even if a radio output device generating electric waves from a plurality of antennas installed along lines fails in a radio train approach alarm device capable of reporting the approach of trains over a wide area by use of the electric waves issued from the antennas and to prevent radio interference when the device has not failed. SOLUTION: In a train approach alarm device, a group of antennas 87a, 87b covers the range of behavior of an operator carrying a receiver 89 with him and a group of antennas 87p, 87q covers the same range. Although the ranges covered by the groups overreach each other, radio interference will not occur since the groups transmit electric waves in a time-sharing fashion. Moreover, even if one radio output device 85 fails, the receiver 89 can receive the electric waves of the other group at the next timing and therefore the device can be put into proper alarm action.
