Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method which can effectively suppress leakage of electromagnetic waves generated from a wave generation source built in an electronic apparatus casing made of a pair of halves arranged as opposed to each other by means of pre-test measures. SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus casing 10 is made up of a pair of halves 11 and 12 which can have an electromagnetic wave shielding function and can accommodate an antenna 20 when positioned as opposed to each other. A gap 13 is defined between opposing ends of the halves 11 and 12 when positioned as opposed to each other. An intensity of electromagnetic waves radiated from the antenna 20 and externally leaked from the casing halves 11 and 12 is predicted by a simulation technique, a value is found based on its predicted result so that the intensity of electromagnetic waves radiated from the antenna 20 and externally leaked from the casing halves 11 and 12 becomes smaller than that substantially in the absence of the gap 13, and the found value is employed as a gap dimension between the opposing ends of the paired easing halves positioned as opposed to each other to form the electronic apparatus casing. |
