Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost and electric power consumption without restriction on recording and reproducing mechanism parts of a cartridge and without the hindrance for compactification by deciding whether a cartridge is loaded in a device body or not by detecting an electrical element packaged on the cartridge side using information processing circuit on a main body side. SOLUTION: The one end of the resistance element 10 disposed in the cartridge 1 is connected to the grounding potential of the cartridge 1 and the other end is connected to the prescribed terminal 8a of a connector 8. Power- supply voltage Vcc is supplied via a resistor 13 to the A/D port 12 of a microcomputer 11 on the device body side. The voltage is changed to either voltage v1 or Vcc according to whether the cartridge 1 is loaded or not. Then, whether the cartridge 1 is loaded into the device body or not may be decided by whether the voltage of the A/D port 12 is smaller or larger than the prescribed threshold between the voltage v1 and Vcc. As a result, the cost and electric power consumption may be reduced by the small space for the resistance element 10 alone. |
