Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a bottle body difficult to deform due to a change in internal pressure or external pressure such as grasping power and make a bottle easy to stably hold by specifying a ratio of a vertical length of an entire neck and the maximum diameter of the body and also by forming a plurality of peripheral reinforcing ribs within the neck. SOLUTION: A neck 2 with a vertical length of 80 to 120% of a diameter of a maximum diameter part 4 of a body is formed on a portion above the middle of the body 1 of a plastic bottle comprising polyethylene terephthalate or other plastic which is biaxially oriented blow-molded. Further a plurality of reinforcing ribs 3, 3 are provided in a peripheral direction of the neck 2. A diameter of a minimum diameter part of the neck 2 is preferably 65 to 75% of the diameter of the maximum diameter part 4 of the body, as the bottle is easy to grasp and influence of reduction in capacity is reduced. In addition, a position of the minimum diameter part of the neck 2 is preferably at a height of 65 to 80% from the bottom of an entire length of the neck 2, as the neck is easy to fit to a palm.
